That's actually a good point, that could give us a way to do this with less tracking. Designate a pool of players. Set a standard of x amount of years on contract over x amount of dollars. Players that likely wouldn't be signed.
Every week, teams can just pick up players from that list to replace the IL guys on their team. (Teams can still bid normal on those players taking them off the list if they want) And we just need to make sure every week, rosters are compliant, meaning no healthy players on IL going into week

I actually don't like this idea now. That's a lot of management. I'd rather just expand for more roster spots (1 or 2) and keep processes the same as they are now.

Yes. Still 12 active spots but now 5 bench spots
